OVER HET MUSEUM
Het Centraal Museum is het oudste stadsmuseum van Nederland. Een museum van wereldklasse met sterke Utrechtse wortels. De missie van het museum is om de blik van de bezoeker te verruimen door kunst en cultuur. Dat is de leidraad in alles wat we doen. Onze collectie beeldende kunst, design, mode en stadsgeschiedenis is altijd de basis. De collectie vormt de rijke bron die leidt tot tentoonstellingen en activiteiten. De collectie geeft de mogelijkheden om onze bezoekers nieuwe perspectieven te bieden die vaak een link hebben met de actualiteit.

Raad van Toezicht
De Raad van Toezicht bestaat uit Jane Chin-A-Fo (lid), Bart Leferink (lid), Imara Limon (lid),Bart van Meegen (lid), Maarten Prak (lid), Jan Willem Steunenberg (lid) enwordt voorgezeten door Henriëtte Post (voorzitter).
Het Centraal Museum is sinds 2013 een zelfstandige stichting en heeft een Raad van Toezicht. De Raad van Toezicht volgt de Code Cultural Governance die staat voor goed bestuur, adequaat toezicht en transparante verantwoording. De actuele zittingstermijnen zijn gepubliceerd in het jaarverslag.
Directie
De directie van het Centraal Museum bestaat uit Bart Rutten, Artistiek directeur sinds 2017 en Marco Grob, Zakelijk directeur sinds 2009.
Team
Het Centraal Museum wordt gedragen door een bevlogen team van medewerkers en vrijwilligers. Dankzij hun inzet, kennis en enthousiasme kunnen wij ons publiek dagelijks inspireren en verrassen.
